Retrieving Motion Detector by 1 Channel 12V Radio Module

Question from customer:

I want a kit radio module 1 channel (12V), can transmit the state of a dry contact input (on transmitter). This is to retrieve the status of a motion detector. Distance 60m open field.

Answer:

We recommend 1 channel 12V rf receiver and transmitter with dry contact input (S1L-DC12-ANT2 & CB-2N). The very special design is its transmitter with a dry contact input aside. The triggering method of this transmitter is connection of two wires on it. There is only one channel at that relay on the receiver. The output contacts of relay are normally open and closed. Working distance of transmitter and receiver with external extend antenna are 2000M / 6000ft (theoretically).

remote controller

Wiring:

Wires on the transmitter should be connected to the contacts of motion detector (original device).

The normally open contacts B&C of receiver should be connected to the device being controlled.

Maybe you can wire a lamp to the receiver. We offer three voltage versions for receiver: 9V, 12V and 24V. You can choose the right one according to the voltage of device being controlled.

wiring diagram

wiring-of-transmitter

Operation:

When the motion detector (original device) is triggered and begin to work, the transmitter is also triggered and then transmits an rf signal “ON” to the receiver. After the receiver receives the signal, contacts B&C are closed; the lamp being controlled will be turn on.

When the motion detector (original device) is not triggered and stop working, the transmitter is also triggered and then transmits an rf signal “OFF” to the receiver. After the receiver receives the signal, contacts B&C are cut; the lamp being controlled will be turn off.

Note:

The output contacts of motion detector should be normally open / normally closed.

Buttons on the remote are only used for test.

The big button is for testing “ON” signal. The small button is for testing “OFF” signal.

Switching LED Strip Light Off/On with Motion Detectors and Time Delay Receiver

Overview:

I would like to control a 12V LED strip light with 2 motion detectors. When the detectors detect the movement of up and down, they will turn on the led strip light.

Solution:

We recommend two motion detectors (W-01) and 1 channel time delay receiver (S1DA-DC12).

Motion detectors can be installed to the wall easily with screws to different places. Detector working distance will be 100m (Open field). Detection distance is 10m. With characteristics of time delay, its time adjustment range can be 0 second~99 hours. It has normally open and closed contact, so all device which works under AC 110~240V or DC 0~28V and working current is less than 10A can be wired to that receiver.

You can connect the LED strip to B&C contact of the receiver. Switch on the power, when any one detector is triggered, the receiver will turn on the strip. After the delay time, the receiver will turn off the strip. You can set this delay time, such as 30 seconds or 1 minute or other time you to set.

Motion Triggered Detector and Time Delay Function Receiver Operation

Question from customer:

What we need is three motion sensors with 2 receivers. The receiver can be one channel. Once there is a trigger to any one motion sensor this will trigger both receivers at the same time. Each receiver can have one dry contact output that will trigger anytime any of the motion sensors trigger. And the receiver will go back to previous state after 1 minute.

Answer:

We recommend rf remote receiver and infrared motion sensor (S1DA-DC12-ANT2+W-01) to you. You can have those 2 receivers paired up with three motion sensors so that they can work together. The receiver is delay time adjustable (0 seconds ~ 99 hours). It controls lights, motors, fans, electrically operated doors/locks/ windows/ blinds/ cars or other appliances. You can turn on/off the receiver with transmitter (remote control) from any place within a reliable distance; the wireless signal can pass through walls, floors and doors. With the extended external antenna, its working distance can reach 2000m.

The receiver is normally open and close dry contact. So the device which you want to remote control can be supplied with additional power supply according to your device’s voltage parameter. Wire device to normally open dry contact.

Press buttons of “+” and “-” on the timer, adjust delay time from 0 second to 99 hours. “H” is Hour, “M” is Minute, and “S” is Second. If you want it go back to previous state after 1 minute, you can set “M 0 1”, it means the delay time is 1 minute. When some movements trigger the motion sensor, turn off the relay and turn on device. After 1 minute, it is that the receiver will change status immediately if there is no trigger but will return to previous state after 1 minute. The device is turned off automatically.

Any of the motion sensors can trigger that receiver. If you use those two receivers in the same place, you can set them with different codes.

Momentary 12V Remote Switch Combines with Movement Sensor for Hot Water Pump Motor

Question from customer:

I want to control a water heater recirculation pump via wireless motion sensors. The pump will activate on a momentary 12 volt pulse. It will need three separate detectors from 3 different locations. They are kitchen, shower room, toilet. When someone enters those places, the water heater recirculation pump begins to work and supply cool water to heater.

Answer:

We recommend our wireless infrared motion detector and 1 channel momentary 12V receiver (W-01&S1XM-DC12) to you. The wireless infrared motion will detect any movement of area of detection within 10M. In addition, the receiver is designed for momentary mode with 1 channel, which is for one appliance controlling. The designated appliance won’t need to be supplied any power instead of getting power from powered receiver. This unit’s working distance can reach 100M(theoretically).

motion detector and receiver

Here is the receiver and pump motor wiring. Wiring motor to A&B terminals and supply dc power to receiver, and motor will get power from powered receiver.

S1XM-DC12 circuit copy

Operation:

When someone enters into the area of detection, the motion detector will be triggered by any movement. The movement detector will send message to the receiver. When the receiver receives the signal from motion detector, it will activate the water heater pump to supply water to heater.

Using notes:

Note 1: Don’t put the detector towards lighting, sunshine or the computer.

Note 2: Don’t put the detector in an environment of strong wind, steam, oil smoke or be exposed to high temperature.

Note 3: Don’t put any obstacles in the detecting area.

Note 4: Don’t install 2 or more infrared movement detectors within a small space.

Infrared Movement Sensors for Lighting Control

Motion sensor, we also can say occupancy sensor, which is used in corridor, staircase or other dim places for electric lighting control. If there is motion being detected, it is assumed that the place is not empty, and thus needs to be lit. When there is no motion, the light will go out automatically after preset delay time. Light turning off to some extent can save substantial amounts of energy. We will try to control 2 led lamps with 2 infrared movement detectors (W-01) and AC activated receiver with time delay function (S2DA-AC220). The working distance of wireless signal is 100m (open field). The detection distance of motion detector is 10m. The RF receiver is an adjustable time delay receiver. This delay time is user-selectable. Delay time can be adjusted as you like within 0 second~99 hours.

Note: Don’t install 2 infrared motion detectors within a small space because of generation of interference.
