High Power Remote Controller Switch Off/On Motor of Children’s Tractor

Overview:

I’m looking for a High power remote controller to switch on/off the power to my children’s “John Deere ground force” 12v tractor if necessary. According to the specifications on the tractors the motors are 330watt and are driven by 12v battery. 330/12=27.5 amps. So I guess I need a 30amp controller.

Solution:

We recommend the model of 1 channel 30amp 12V remote controller (S1PU-DC12&C-2). Its maximum current output is 30amp. It is suitable for appliances with AC110~240V or DC0~28V because of its normally open & closed relay contact. There are 3 working modes in it. The transmitting distance is about 100m (300ft). It is enough for you.

You can see its wiring diagram. We suggest that you should learn this wiring way. That will be much convenient to you.

Wire tractor’s motor to “A” terminal and negative terminal of receiver. Use a wire to connect “B” terminal and positive terminal of receiver. And wire positive and negative terminal to 12 power supply.

circuit

Setting control mode Latched: Disconnect Jumper-1 and Jumper-2.

Control mode Latched: Press -> On, other relays Off; Press another button -> Off.

Press button 1: Turn on the tractor motor, the tractor moves.

Press button 2: Turn off the tractor motor, the tractor stops.

Remote Controller Unlocks Electric Lock

Overview:

We manage a refrigerated ice storage. We are considering an application to remotely unlock the doors using an electric strike. The application would most likely use a remote with a range of less than 150 feet typically. I am interested in getting some information about components that you might have that would work for this application.

Solution:

We recommend 1 channel 2000m dc power output receiver (S1X-DC12-ANT2) and 1-button transmitter (CB-1). Input power and output power of receiver are same as dc 12v. So it is easy for wiring. Maximum working current is 10amp. Working distance of remote and receiver set is about 2000m (6000ft) in open field. The RF signal can pass through walls, doors and other obstacles.

Wire electric door lock and dc 12V power supply to the receiver accroding to the wiring diagram. Receiver is dc power output contact so you can connect door lock to A&B terminals. Electric door lock will get power from powered receiver.

Setting control mode Momentary: Only connect Jumper-1.

Press and hold big button: Turn on the relay, terminal A&B output DC power.

Release big button: Turn off the relay, terminal A&B no output.

When the door is locked, you can press and hold big button of the transmitter, the door will unlock.

Hobby Project Motors Remote Controlling

Overview:

I want to control 6 different small electric DC motors for a hobby project.

Solution:

This 12 channel dc remote controller (S12CA-DC12+CV-12) can help you controls 6 dc motors’ positive and reverse rotation. The receiver works with a 12-button remote transmitter. It only can be used to control 6 motors for every two relays in the receiver can control one motor to rotate in forward and reverse other than controlling at most 12 same or different off/on electric devices. Remote distance is up to 500m.

12-channel-remote-control

Look at the following wiring diagram and picture. The wiring is just a little complicated. B is common contact. Each motor should be connected to B terminals of every two relays. A is normally closed contact and C is normally open contact. Connect contact C to the positive and connect contact A to the negative. We connect motors one by one.

Operation:

There are more than one working modes of that controller. Generally speaking, you will choose the momentary mode for motor controlling.

Learning Momentary control mode: When the receiver is in the status of LEARNING, press button 2 of the remote control.

Control mode Momentary (Channel 1~12): Press and hold -> On; Release -> Off.

If you want you control Motor 4:

Press and hold button 7, motor rotates in positive direction; Release button 7, motor 4 stops. Press and hold button 8, motor rotates in reverse direction; Release button 8, motor 4 stops.

How to Remote Control Two Gates Open and Close

Question from customer:

I am looking for a transmitter and receiver with at least 3 buttons (4 max ) to be used to open and close my gate. I don’t know which is better RF or UHF? Do you have anything that can work for me? I will do the electronics all I need is the option to latch or momentary relay outputs.

Answer

We recommend 4 channel 12V multi-mode remote controller (S4C-DC12+C-4). It operates in toggle, momentary, latched and toggle + momentary control mode (set the mode as you like freely). You can use it to complete four operations at the same time. For example, turn the light on, open the door or control other dc/ac electrical devices in the meantime. It is applied for light remote control, motor remote control, garage door remote control, gate remote control, etc. We think this remote can be used for controlling gate. That is to say, you can use this remote control to control one or two motors of your gate. To realize gate opening and closing, one motor needs two relays to support.

Secondly, it is the wiring. Suppose you have two gates to remote control. We will wire motors to receiver according to the wiring diagram. B is the common terminal. A is the closed terminal and C is the open terminal. Usually, one relay can only switch on and off one motor. So each two relays can control one motor rotate in positive and reverse direction. We connect two motors to B terminals to every two relays respectively. Connect terminal C to the positive and connect terminal A to the negative.

application circuit

We choose momentary working mode: only connect Jumper-1. (We usually use momentary mode for motor controlling. Or you can also choose latched mode if you want.)

Press and hold button 1, motor 1 rotates in positive direction, gate 1 is opening. Release button 1, motor 1 stops.

Press and hold button 2, motor 1 rotates in reverse direction, gate 1 is closing. Release button 2, motor 1 stops.

Press and hold button 3, motor 2 rotates in positive direction, gate 2 is opening. Release button 3, motor 3 stops.

Press and hold button 4, motor 2 rotates in reverse direction, gate 2 is closing. Release button 4, motor 2stops.

2000m DC ON/OFF Switch Remote Control Motor

Question from Customer:

I seek a transmitter-receiver 12V to run a small motor away from 300~500 meters with operating on off.

Answer:

Our suggestion is this 1 channel 12V voltage output remote control gadget (S1X-DC12-ANT2 & CB-2). Single channel is for one device. 12V direct power output can supply power directly to the device which is controlled. User can turn on/off the receiver with transmitter (remote control) from any place within a reliable distance; the wireless RF signal can pass through walls, floors and doors. The receiver, which mounts long range magnetic antenna, pairs with long distance transmitter to reach to 2000m in the open field.

remote control unit&motor

There are 3 control modes. They are Toggle, momentary and latched.

Setting control mode Toggle: Only connect Jumper-2.

1) Press big button: Turn on the relay.

Press big button again: Turn off the relay.

2) Setting control mode Momentary: Only connect Jumper-1.

Press and hold big button: Turn on the relay.

Release big button: Turn off the relay.

3) Setting control mode Latched: Do not connect Jumper-1 and Jumper-2.

Press big button: Turn on the relay.

Press small button: Turn off the relay.

As regards controlling motor on and off, we suggest the latched mode. Latched mode is really favorable for long range controlling because big button on transmitter is for ON, small button is for OFF. If you want to turn on motor, you can press big more for many times to make sure that the motor is on. If you want to turn off motor, you can press small more for many times to make sure that the motor is off.

For the wiring, it is so simple. The following picture shows. Motor is connected to terminals A&B on the receiver. The receiver should be supplied 12V power. There is no need to supply power to motor because motor can get power from the receiver.
