Extended Range Remote for Wharf Lights

Question from customer:

I am installing 12v DC lighting on my boat wharf. It will operate off a 12v battery with a solar charger. I need a long range on/off remote for the lights. My house is about 400 ft away. I have no AC power at the  wharf. I was planning on two 12 v lights.

Answer:

We recommend you 2 one-many-system single channel receivers (S1UB-DC12-ANT2) and the long range remote (CB-2). The DC power activated remote is so favorable to you since you have a 12V battery with solar charger. The one-many-system means that you can use one transmitter control more than two receivers. There is no interference between two receivers because they are powered by different adaptors. With external extended antenna, working distance of remote controller extends 1500m, up to 2000m without any obstacles in the open field. So it is believed that the signal can be transmitted from your house to the  wharf successfully.

We make a presentation of this kind of remote. First, here is the material preparation.

2×1 channel receiver (S1UB-DC12-ANT2)

1×long range transmitter(CB-2)

2×LED light(DC 12V)

2×12V adaptor

Long Range and One-Many-System Remote Control —2000M

Question from customer:

I need a system with 1 Transmitter and 15 Receivers.

The 15 Receivers will be “remote receivers” and will be located in 15 separate locations.

This 1 Transmitter will control all 15 remote Receivers (buttons 1 through15 on the Transmitter).

Range = 300m-500m

Voltage = 12VDC

Ampere = 1.0 – 5.0 Amps

Answer

We’d like to recommend you “One-to-Many System”. It includes a 15-button transmitter and 15 long range receivers. They can work together and their working distance is 2000M with external extended antenna. The maximum working current is 10 ampere. Each receiver is 1 channel, which can connect to one device. Control Lights, Motors, Fans, electrically operated Doors / Locks / Windows / Blinds / Cars or Other Appliances with AC110~240V or DC0~28V. You can turn on/off the receiver with transmitter (remote control) from any place within a reliable distance; the wireless RF signal can pass through walls, floors and doors. There are 3 working modes for each receiver. They are toggle, momentary and latched.

Press button 1 again: Turn off Receiver 1

Press button 15: Turn on Receiver 15

Press button 15 again: Turn off Receiver 15

2, Setting control mode Momentary: Connect Jumper-1.

Control mode Momentary: Press and hold -> On; Release -> Off.

Press and hold button 1: Turn on Receiver 1

Release button 1: Turn off Receiver 1

Press and hold button 15: Turn on Receiver 15

Release button 15: Turn off Receiver 15

3, Setting control mode Latched: Disconnect Jumper-1 and Jumper-2.

The transmitter buttons are odd number, you’d better not set latched mode because buttons must work in pairs in latched mode.

30amp Long Range Remote Module for Air Compressor

Question from customer:

I’m interested in controlling an air compressor remotely. The air compressor is 12v dc and 20 amps. I want this to be a long range remote control system with the ability to accommodate a heavy duty compressor. I only want the remote control to have the “on” and “off” functions for this air compressor.

Answer:

An air compressor is a device that converts power (usually from an electric motor, a diesel engine or a gasoline engine) into kinetic energy by compressing and pressurizing air, which can be released in quick bursts. It is used for sanders, sprayers, nail guns or almost any other types of air tools. Definitely, remote controlling of air compressor is really an easy task, you can switch it on and off from a reliable distance. So we recommend this 30A long range remote control (S1PU-DC12-ANT2+1CB-2) to you.

remote control air compressor

Maximum current of channel is 30amp which is very favorable for your air compressor. With external extend antenna, the transmitter and receiver have longer working range, up to 2000M.

antennaAntenna wire

The remote control operates in toggle, momentary and latched mode (set the mode as you like freely). We suggest setting latched mode because the receiver pairs with 2-button transmitter. One button controls “On”, another button controls “Off”.

Wire air compressor to the receiver as the following picture shown. This receiver is designed with normally open and close configuration. A&B terminals are normally open; A&C terminals are normally closed. Usually we connect device to normally open terminals. Air compressor can be connected to common terminal “A”.

Operation:

Setting control mode Latched: Disconnect Jumper-1 and Jumper-2.

Control mode Latched: Press -> On, other relays Off; Press another button -> Off.

Press big button: Turn on the relay, turn on the air compressor.

Press small button: Turn off the relay, turn off the air compressor.

240V and 12V Sirens are Triggered by One Transmitter

Question from Customer:

Hello, I would like some help to decide on what system to choose. We have a siren in a building 750m away that we would like to trigger, it is 240v. I would also like to use the same remote to activate a 12v siren 1.2km away. Is it possible for one remote to trigger two different sirens?

Answer:

We recommend you two different receivers, one is long range ac power direct output receiver (S1X-AC220-ANT2), and other is long range dc power direct output receiver (S1X-DC12-ANT2). AC receiver is used to connect to 240V siren. DC receiver is used to connect to 12V siren. You can only use 2-Button transmitter (CB-2) to control all of them. With the extended external antenna, both receivers’ working distances reach 2000m (6000ft).

remote control kit

Usage:

There are three working modes in each receiver.

1) Setting control mode Toggle: Only connect Jumper-2.

Press button 1: Turn on the relay.

Press button 1 again: Turn off the relay.

2) Setting control mode Momentary: Only connect Jumper-1.

Press and hold button 1: Turn on the relay.

Release button 1: Turn off the relay.

3) Setting control mode Latched: Do not connect Jumper-1 and Jumper-2.

Press button 1: Turn on the relay.

Press button 2: Turn off the relay.

In your case, you can set ‘Toggle Mode’. Press the button of remote, turn on the device; press the button again, turn off the device. Toggle mode is motivated by single relay, which means you can work this mode with single button remote. So one 2-Button transmitter is enough for you to control two sirens. Press big button, turn on the 240V siren; press again, turn off the 240V siren. Press small button, switch on the 12V siren; press again, switch off the 12V siren.

Wiring:

240V siren is connected to AC receiver’s OUTPUT terminal. And supply 240V power supply. 12V siren is supposed to connect to DC receiver’s A&B terminal. And supply 12V power supply.

Ignite Light in Beacon by Remote Control

In ancient time, beacon is fire or smoke which is made in the beacon tower to alert fellow soldiers for military purpose. Nowadays, beacon is usually built at the dock or located on the water to help guide navigators to their destination for safety purpose. If you were the beacon tower administrator, did you think about remote controlling of light in beacon tower? Someone said,“I’m looking for a system which can remotely control (200m max) ignition of a beacon in 24 V dc”.

beacon2

We recommend him the model of single channel 24V power output RF remote (S1X-DC24-ANT2 +1CB-2). Single channel is for one device. 24V direct power output can supply power directly to the device which is controlled. User can turn on/off the receiver with transmitter (remote control) from any place within a reliable distance; the wireless RF signal can pass through walls, floors and doors. The receiver, which mounts long range magnetic antenna, pairs with long distance transmitter to reach to 2000m in the open field.
