How to Remote Control Droplight with Mobile Phone

One of our customers said that he installed droplight on the wall of stairs. He wanted to remote control droplight but sometimes it is not convenient to him to have a transmitter.

We recommend him our Smartphone WIFI remote controller WF-8-1R (iOS system). It supports 4.6 ~ 6.1 version iOS software system. That is to say, if you use our WIFI remote control and install our WIFI software in your mobile phone. Your mobile phone will be a transmitter which can work with WIFI controller in pairs to control electric devices.

It is applied in modern agriculture field, smart home, instruments, equipment control. WiFi remote control lights, motors, fan, electric doors / windows, aircraft, remote cars, remote toys, rolling blinds, pumps, winches, or other electrical devices with voltage AC110~240V or DC0~28V.

Wiring:

Connect AC lamp to the output terminals (B&C) of WIFI controller.

Software installation:

Install the WIFI Controller software to your iPhone, iPad or iPod Touch by iTunes.

Note: Your iPhone, iPad or iPod Touch must be jailbroken.

Switch on the power of WIFI controller. Wait until power led and wifi start-up led turn on. After wireless network connection, press the icon of WIFI Controller software to turn on it.

There are 3 modes in common use. They are toggle, momentary and latched. But we usually use toggle or latched for lighting controlling. And there is “Time Delay” mode in it. Here is the presentation of “Toggle” and ”Time Delay” mode to control AC lamp.

Toggle Controlling:

Set up Toggle control mode: Press the “T” icon of channel 1. Choose T (Toggle) control mode.

Press button 1 and the color of button 1 icon changes to green, AC lamp will be on. Press the icon again, the lamp will be off.

Time Delay Controlling:

Set up Time Delay control mode: Press “0s” icon of channel 1. Enter the delay time, then Press “Ok” icon. The adjustable delay time is range from 1 second to 99 hours. We set delay time 5 seconds.

Press button 1 to turn on the lamp.

After 5 seconds, the lamp is off by itself.

Time Delay mode is much better for you to control your bracket light. If you set the delay time in advance, you don’t have to switch off it again because it is off automatically when delay time is up.

Time Delay AC Activated Remote Control for Lighting Control

We will try to make motion detector AC lamp with infrared motion sensor  (W-01) and AC activated rf receiver with time delay function (S1DA-AC220). The working distance of motion detector is 100m (open field). The detection distance is 10m. The rf receiver is an adjustable time delay receiver. This delay time is often user-selectable which can be adjusted within 0 second~99 hours.

Your mobile phone can be a remote controller if you use our new product—mobile phone WiFi controller. Receiver box contains 8 relays and can receive WiFi signal. The control software we designed should be installed to your mobile phone before you start to use our product.

First, we prepare materials and do some wiring.

After simple wiring, we connect AC lamps and controller to power supply respectively. The power LED light is on. With the shining of the WiFi start-up LED light, we turn on WiFi of mobile phone. The WiFi connection status LED light is on. We press the control software installed in the mobile phone and press the ”Connect”.

Then, let’s try the “Toggle” Mode first.

Press button 1, turn on light 1; Press button 1 again, turn off light 1.

Normally Open RF Long Distance Remote Transmitter Application

We usually install security system to help us to monitor the farm. Use infrared movement sensor and ac lamp to make a simple security system, for instance. It’s easy to wire and operate. But if the infrared movement sensor is installed at the door of the farm for monitoring, and the lamp need to be placed inside the farm for warning intrusion. There is a long distance between each other. So the sensor cannot be wired to the lamp directly. They need a wireless signal to work together at this time.

The long distance rf remote transmitter CB-2N is strongly recommended here. It has two extended wires. With the connection and disconnection of two wires, the rf remote transmitter can send out an rf wireless signal “ON” and “OFF”. It pairs with rf receiver S1PX-AC220-ANT2, which has long range with external magnetic antenna. Transmitting distance of this transmitter & receiver set is up to 2000m in open field.

As seen in the picture, two wires on transmitter should be connected the contacts of the infrared movement sensor. The output contacts of receiver should be connected to the ac lamp.

When someone breaks into the farm, the contacts of sensor are closed; transmitter is triggered and then transmits an rf wireless signal “ON” to the receiver. After the receiver receives the signal, output contacts are closed; the lamp turns on to warn the emergency.

When someone goes out of the farm, the contacts of sensor are cut; transmitter is triggered and then transmits an RF signal “OFF” to the receiver. After the receiver receives the signal, output contacts are cut, the lamp turns off.
