AC Motor Controlled by iOS Mobile Phone Wi-Fi Controller

AC motor can be found in household application. Such as your water pump, hot water circulator, mini winch, garden irrigation system. When you want to control those electric devices, you always try to make the wiring, connection and operation easy. If you want electric device can get power supply through the remote controller instead of supplying another power, we’d like to introduce the mobile phone Wi-Fi controller with DC or AC voltage output to you.

It works under Wi-Fi connection. With 8-channel high-current output (30amp), you can wire at least 8 devices to it. With external antenna for longer range, the theatrical working distance is 2000M (6000ft) in the open air. Actually, we design this controller for 2 Smartphone working systems— 4.6 ~ 6.1 version iOS and 2.1 ~ 4.0 version Android systems.

We will illustrate the iOS system controlling DC motor here. It must Work on the jailbroken iPhone, iPad, iPod Touch. Where there is Wi-Fi networking, there is this Wi-Fi controller. It Applied in modern agriculture field, smart home, instruments, equipment controlling. Wi-Fi remote control lights, motors, fan, electric doors / windows, aircraft, remote cars, remote toys, rolling blinds, pumps, winches, or other electrical devices with voltage AC110~240V or DC0~28V.

Here is the controlling procedure of AC motor for your information. The material is Wi-Fi controller, mobile phone, AC motor and power adaptor.

Connect the motor to the output terminals of WIFI controller as the wiring diagram shown.

Switch on the power of WIFI controller. Wait until power led, ready led and link led turn on. So the Wi-Fi network is connected. After wireless network connection, press the icon of WIFI Controller software to turn it.

Set up working mode for each channel of relay. Four working modes Toggle, Momentary, Latching and Time Delay are provided.

Set up Momentary control mode: Press the “M” icon of any channel. Choose M (Toggle) control mode.

Press and hold button 1, the motor is positive rotation. Release button 1, motor stops.

Integrated Smartphone Wi-Fi Controller for AC Lamp

Many people use iOS system launched by Apple Inc because it is fashionable, easy to use, and convenient. It is also applied for other apple devices such as iPod Touch, iPad other than iPhone. And Wi-Fi is Wireless Local Area Network which is easier to get access to network to surf. Most Smartphones can get access to network through Wi-Fi. Now we integrate Wi-Fi networking and device with iOS system to develop a brand new product, Smartphone Wi-Fi Controller.

After switching on power, wait until power led, ready led and link led turn on. So the Wi-Fi network is connected. After wireless network connection, press the icon of WIFI Controller software installed in advance to turn on it.

Set up working mode for each channel of relay. Four working modes Toggle, Momentary, Latching and Time Delay are provided.

Set up Toggle control mode: Press the “T” icon of any channel. Choose T (Toggle) control mode.

Press the icon and the color of icon changes to green, the corresponding relay will be on. Lamp is on.

Press the icon again, the relay will be off. Lamp is off.

Set up Time Delay control mode: Press “0s” icon of any channel. Enter the delay time, then press “Ok” icon. The adjustable delay time is range from 1 second to 99 hours. For example, if you want 5 seconds delay time, you can set 5 (s).

Press the icon, lamp is on.

After 5 seconds, the lamp will be off automatically.

Encoding and Decoding of Remote Controller

Remote controller has toggle, momentary, latched or even mixed modes. We should learn or delete code from transmitter for receiver to operate or shift mode. Different mode is used in different controlling. Toggle mode is used for light controlling, lock controlling… Momentary is used for motor controlling, rolling blinds controlling… Latched mode is available for long distance controlling (no line of sight, lots of trees or other obstacles in-between).

Here, we’d like to introduce the procedure of code learning and deleting.

Learning code of remote control:

1)       Press buttons to control lamps, there is no response from lamps at first. (No codes in the receiver)

2)       Press and hold the button of receiver; signal LED on the receiver keeps shining. Then release the button. The receiver enters into status of LEARNING.

3)           Press any one button on remote control. If signal LED flashes quickly 15 times and turns off.

4)       Press buttons to turn on or off lamps, it means learning is successful.

Deleting Code:

We have learned remote control to the receiver. If you don’t want the receiver to work with the remote control or want to shift working mode, you can delete all codes of remote controls which are stored in the receiver.

1)       Press buttons, you can turn on lamps. (All codes are stored in the receiver at first.)

2)       Delete codes: Press and hold the button of receiver until signal LED flashes slowly; release the button, LED keeps slow flash.

3)       Press buttons to control lamps, there is no response from lamps. That means all stored codes have been deleted successfully.

One Remote Controller Switch Two Different Voltage Motors in Positive and Reverse Rotation

Question from customer:

I want to control a dc motor that uses a 12 volt car battery and 5 amps. The second motor is 9 volts dc and 5 amps. Both motor needs to go forwards and reverse. What do you recommend I purchase to control both motors to allow forward and reverse direction?

Answer:

Our suggestion is 4 relay 12VDC RF on / off transmitter receiver (S4U-DC12+C-4). This kind of remote control is 4 channels with multi-modes, which includes toggle, momentary, latched and momentary+toggle. It is flexible choice for you. You can remote control one 12V actuated motor and one 9V actuated motor since the receiver is normally open and closed terminals. The working distance is about 100M. It is 10amps for each channel.

Please see the wiring diagram below, B is common terminal. 12V motor is supposed to be connected to B terminals of relay 2&3. A is normally closed terminal and C is normally open terminal. Connect terminal C to the positive and connect terminal A to the negative. 9V motor is connected to B&C terminals of relay 1&4.

After wiring, you can control them by the transmitter C-4.

Press and hold button 2, 12V motor moves forward, release the button 2, 12V motor stops .

Press and hold button 3, 12V motor moves backward, release the button 3, 12V motor stops .

Press and hold button 1, 9V motor moves forward, release the button 1, 9V motor stops .

Press and hold button4, 9V motor moves backward, release the button 4 9V motor stops .

Mixed-mode Remote Control Operation(15 Channel)

We designed 15 channel DC mixed- mode remote control to satisfy customers’ more need. It is still wireless control and easy to install. It can control lights, motors, fans, electrically operated doors, locks, windows, blinds, cars or other appliances with voltage AC110~240V or DC0~28V. You can turn on/off the receiver with transmitter (remote control) from any place within a reliable distance; the wireless signal can pass through walls, floors and doors. It includes toggle, momentary, latched and mixed working modes.

The following operation is the code learning and deleting and remote control operation. At first, we should prepare material.

Deleting code:

We should delete all stored codes firstly. Press and hold learning button for 3 seconds, then release button after buzzer sounds 5 times. All stored codes are deleted successfully.

There are 15 channels in receiver. So it has 15 working modes in it. But we only show four common operation modes here. They are toggle, momentary, latched and toggle+ momentary+latched modes.

Learning mode:

Press and hold learning button, the receiver is in the status of learning after buzzer sounds 1 time. Press corresponding button of each working mode, for example, button 3 for toggle mode, button 1 for momentary mode, button 2 for latched, and button 9 for one of mixed modes (Toggle+ Momentary+Latched modes)

Press and hold learning button, the receiver is in the status of learning after buzzer sounds 1 time. Press button 3 at once, buzzer sounds 3 times, the receiver learns Toggle mode successfully.

After operation of each mode, we should delete previous stored codes in advance, and then start to learning next working mode.

Press button 9 at once, buzzer sounds 3 times, the receiver learns Toggle +Momentary + Latched mode successfully. (1~5 channel is T mode; 6~10 channel is M mode; 11~15 channel is L mode)

1~5 channel (T mode): press button 1, turn on lamp 1; press button 1 again, turn off lamp 1.

6~10 channel (M mode): press and hold button 6, turn on lamp 6; release button 6, turn off lamp 6.

11~15 channel (L mode): press button 11, turn on lamp 11, other lamps are off; press button 12, turn on lamp 12, other lamps are off.
