Toggle/Momentary/Latched/Mixed-mode Remote Controlling Operation

Through learning or deleting code from transmitter to receiver, we can shift working mode easily. Different mode is applied for different controlling. Toggle mode is used for controlling lamp, doors, locks…Momentary is used for controlling rolling blind, shutter, rolling door…As regards the latched mode, it is motivated by relay group. Latched mode is available for long distance controlling (no line of sight, lots of trees or other obstacles in-between). And there is mixed mode of toggle+momentary. A relay group is toggle mode, the other relay group is momentary mode.

Mixed-mode Remote Control Operation(15 Channel)

We designed 15 channel DC mixed- mode remote control to satisfy customers’ more need. It is still wireless control and easy to install. It can control lights, motors, fans, electrically operated doors, locks, windows, blinds, cars or other appliances with voltage AC110~240V or DC0~28V. You can turn on/off the receiver with transmitter (remote control) from any place within a reliable distance; the wireless signal can pass through walls, floors and doors. It includes toggle, momentary, latched and mixed working modes.

The following operation is the code learning and deleting and remote control operation. At first, we should prepare material.

1×15 channel RF receiver

1×15-button transmitter

4× AC lamp(They will be connected at channels at random, just for demonstration purposes, actually you can wire 15 lamps)

Power adaptor

Deleting code:

We should delete all stored codes firstly. Press and hold learning button for 3 seconds, then release button after buzzer sounds 5 times. All stored codes are deleted successfully.

There are 15 channels in receiver. So it has 15 working modes in it. But we only show four common operation modes here. They are toggle, momentary, latched and toggle+ momentary+latched modes.

Learning mode:

Press and hold learning button, the receiver is in the status of learning after buzzer sounds 1 time. Press corresponding button of each working mode, for example, button 3 for toggle mode, button 1 for momentary mode, button 2 for latched, and button 9 for one of mixed modes (Toggle+ Momentary+Latched modes)

Toggle mode learning and operation:

Press and hold learning button, the receiver is in the status of learning after buzzer sounds 1 time. Press button 3 at once, buzzer sounds 3 times, the receiver learns Toggle mode successfully.

Toggle mode operation:

Press any button to control the corresponding lamp. For example, press button 1, turn on lamp 1; press button 1 again, turn off lamp 1…

S15C-DC12&CV-15-T mode lamp off

After operation of each mode, we should delete previous stored codes in advance, and then start to learning next working mode.

Momentary mode learning and operation:

Do as toggle mode learning, Press and hold learning button, the receiver is in the status of learning after buzzer sounds 1 time. Press button 1 at once, buzzer sounds 3 times, the receiver learns Momentary mode successfully.

Press any button to control the corresponding lamp. For example, press and hold button 6, turn on lamp 6; release button 6, turn off lamp 6…

Latched mode learning and operation:

Deleting momentary learning code, press and hold learning button, the receiver is in the status of learning after buzzer sounds 1 time. Press button 2 at once, buzzer sounds 3 times, the receiver learns latched mode successfully.

Press any button to control the corresponding lamp. For example, press button 1, turn on lamp 1, other lamps are off; press button 6, turn on lamp 6, other lamps are off…

Mixed mode learning and operation: (Toggle+ Momentary+Latched modes)

Deleting latched learning code, press and hold learning button, the receiver is in the status of learning after buzzer sounds 1 time. Press button 9 at once, buzzer sounds 3 times, the receiver learns Toggle +Momentary + Latched mode successfully. (1~5 channel is T mode; 6~10 channel is M mode; 11~15 channel is L mode)

1~5 channel (T mode): press button 1, turn on lamp 1; press button 1 again, turn off lamp 1.

6~10 channel (M mode): press and hold button 6, turn on lamp 6; release button 6, turn off lamp 6.

11~15 channel (L mode): press button 11, turn on lamp 11, other lamps are off; press button 12, turn on lamp 12, other lamps are off.

Question from customer

Hi I have a 12V powered standalone device that is installed on a carbon fiber ledge (facing up) up on top of a very high carbon fiber mast (50m high) and as you can imagine it’s not ideal to get someone to go up and down the mast to turn this device on/off (or to replace the battery ).

Can you outline suggest a suitable/reliable product of yours to switch my (1 channel) device on/off and has very little demands on the 12V battery (as I need it to last as long as possible by switching it off)?

I’m actually using an 11.1V 5000mA power strip (that could power your relay receiver if has low current demands).

So maybe you can you tell me the receivers power demands to achieve this task please?

Answer

We recommend the receiver (model 0020290 S1SL-DC12) and the transmitter CB-2 to you. It is the 12 V one channel latched mode remote transceiver. It is also activated by 12V power supply. Paired with long distance transmitter CB-2, its working distance can be 1000m (3000ft). There is no need to go up and down the mast to turn device on and off. Using a remote controller to control device, it is very convenient to you. As regards the latched mode, it is motivated by relay group. For relay group, only one relay will be on at a time. So the big button of this transmitter only turns on the device when you press. And the small button only turns off the device.

We made a demonstration to show how to use this remote controller.

First off all, we prepared the following material.

S1SL-DC&CB-2 material

According to the wiring diagram, lamp is connected to the normally open terminal NO &COM. The lamp should be supplied 12V power supply.
