Technological developments in recent years have made it possible to improve engine efficiency and functionality. In large DIY stores, it is very easy to find models that are affordable and easy to install. However, before starting, it is necessary to know the various bodies of the long range radio control system to better understand its implementation.

The operator of a two-leaf gate includes two motors, a control unit connected to the mains (which is now more generally integrated into one of the motors) and accessories such as remote controls, flashing lamp, etc. The operator can also be used to operate the gate.

The power plant converts the electric current supplied by the house’s switchboard into low voltage. It receives commands from the remote control and communicates them to the engines. Mechanically attached to each pillar, the motors operate articulated arms or cylinders, depending on the model.

To stop the movement of the leaves, a central stop and two lateral stops are installed on the ground if the motorization does not integrate it.

The engines are self-locking. This function keeps the gate closed while blocking its leaves. Even if some gates are equipped with a backup battery, in the event of a power failure, it is still possible to unlock the motors manually.

An integrated safety system also stops the movement of the leaves as soon as resistance is detected (people, animals, objects).

 

The essential checks

In addition to burying the power cables to be provided between the electrical panel of the house and the gate, it must be ensured that the existing gate supports a motorization, because not all can.

For example, a PVC gate must have a metal frame. The force that the motor exerts on the leaf being consequent, it is also necessary to take care of the good holding of the fastenings of the leaves and to make sure that the leaves do not rub against the ground. An arm motor is more tolerant when installed imperfectly, but it requires space around it to run smoothly. It must therefore be ensured that it has the field necessary for its movement. The cylinder mechanism is more suitable for confined spaces, but its installation is more rigorous.

Finally, to choose the right motorization, you need to know the dimensions and weight of the leaves in order to have the appropriate power. In the case of a solid gate, it is better to favor the mechanisms with rf remote control cylinders which integrate a worm screw.

Wireless remote control electric rolling gate

In daily life, the electric rolling gate is suitable for family, shop, garage, market, hospital, warehouse and company. The control of electric rolling gate is divided into wired control and wireless control.

 Wired control systems include rolling door, motor, and manual switch. The user needs to go to the edge of the rolling gate before using the manual switch to open/close the rolling door. If you want to open the door when you are in the car, you have to get off and press the manual switch. In winter it is very inconvenient.

The wireless control system includes rolling door, motor, remote controls and a wireless receiver connected to the motor. The user can use the remote control to turn on/off the rolling door at a reasonable distance. When the user presses the remote control button, the remote will send an RF wireless signal. This RF wireless signal can pass through trees, walls or doors and windows. After the wireless receiver receives this RF wireless signal that will control the motor to turn the rolling door on/off. When you arrive at home, you don’t have to get out of your car as it travels near the roller shutter door. Only need to remote control directly into the car to turn it on/off. Especially in the cold winter, the wireless control system is very necessary and convenient.

The rolling door is divided into two types according to its motor: the chain motor rolling gate and the tubular motor rolling gate, which rotate the rotating shaft of the rolling gate through the motor. The chain motor is usually installed outside the shaft, as shown in figure 1. The chain motor rotates the rotary shaft and the rolling gate through gears and chains. The chain motor is suitable for heavier and larger rolling gates. Tubular motors are usually installed inside the rotary shaft, as shown in figure 2. The tubular motor directly rotates the rotary shaft and the gate. The tubular motor is suitable for the smaller and lighter rolling gate. When the rolling gate is opened or closed to the appropriate position, the motor can be automatically closed by the limit switch.

The chain motor rolling gate and tubular motor rolling gate use different wireless control kits.

The chain motor gate is suitable for wireless control kit model 002071, as shown in figure 3, this receiver is suitable for the maximum power 1000W motor. The receiver’s terminal has 6 wires, 2 black lines are connected to 220V AC power supply, the white line is opening door line, the yellow line is closing door line, the red line is the output line, and the green line is input line. The remote control has four buttons: up, down, stop and lock. When the remote control is locked, the other three buttons will not work, in order to avoid misoperation.

The tubular motor gate is suitable for wireless control model 0020709 (S1FG-AC220 & 2XB-4L), shown in figure 5. This receiver is suitable for the maximum power 400W motor. The receiver’s terminal has 4 connecting lines, the black line is the opening door line, the brown line is the closing door line, the blue line is the public line, and the yellow-green line is the ground line. There are also three manual buttons on the receiver. The remote control has four buttons: up, down, stop and lock, which control opening, closing, stopping and locking respectively. When the remote control is locked, the other three buttons will be shut down, to avoid misoperation.

The wiring is very simple.

Wire gate motor to normally open &closed contact and “N” terminal. Wire “C” terminal and “L” terminal. Add wire to “N” terminal. Your gate motor can share power supply with receiver by this way.

Setting control mode Momentary: Only connect Jumper-1.

Control mode Momentary: Press and hold -> On; Release -> Off.

Press and hold button 1: Turn on the relay, open the outer sliding gate.

Release button 1: Turn off the relay, close the outer sliding gate.

Press and hold button 2: Turn on the relay, open the inner sliding gate.

Release button 2: Turn off the relay, close the inner sliding gate.

4 Channel RF Remote Switch Controls Sliding Doors

One of our customers mounted an electric sliding door mechanism between his living room and outside swimming pool. It was started by dc electric motors and he would like to add a remote system to control it.

So we recommend him a remote control system. The 4CH RF remote switch operates in toggle, momentary, latched and toggle + momentary control mode (set the mode as you like freely). Secondly, it is the wiring. We will wire motors to receiver according to the wiring diagram. B is the common terminal. A is the closed terminal and C is the open terminal. Usually, one relay can only switch on and off one motor. Each two relays can control one motor rotate in positive and reverse direction. So we connect two motors to B terminals to every two relays respectively. Connect terminal C to the positive and connect terminal A to the negative.

Thirdly, it is operation. We choose momentary working mode: only connect Jumper-1.

Press and hold button 1, motor 1 rotates in positive direction. Release button 1, motor 1 stops.
