The coding mode of radio remote control: fixed code and learning code

The wireless remote control system is a device used to control the machine remotely, it was first developed by Nicola Tesla in the United States in 1898. There are two common remote control systems on the market, one is IR Remote Control, which is commonly used in various household appliances, such as TV and air conditioning; the other is the RF Remote Control, which is commonly used in anti-theft alarm equipment, door and window remote control, car remote control and so on.

The radio remote control system (RF Remote Control) is a remote control device that uses radio signals to control a variety of equipment in the far distance. These radio signals can be received by remote receiving devices, which can drive all kinds of other mechanical or electronic devices to complete various operations, such as a closed circuit, mobile device and actuate motor. Radio remote control has been widely applied in the garage door, electric door, road gate remote control, burglar alarm, industrial control and wireless intelligent home.

Radio remote controls system including a radio transmitter and a radio receiver. The transmitter mainly contains the coding circuit and the transmitting circuit. The coding circuit first generates the control instruction and then transmits the instruction signal to the transmitting circuit. The transmitting circuit loads the instruction signal on the high-frequency signal and then is sent to the wireless signal by the transmitting antenna. The receiver consists of a receiving circuit and a decoding circuit. Receiving circuit first amplifies the weak signal received, and then forwarded to the demodulator, the demodulators identify the signal, and then the amplifier circuit drives various devices.

There are two types of coding commonly used for radio remote control: fixed code and learning code.

Fixed code:

  1. The fixed wireless remote control code using 2260/2262/2264 encoding chip, Its code is set by a soldering iron
  2. The coding capacity of the fixed code is 6561, so the amount of the code is limited, the probability of the code repetition is high.
  3. Mainly used for relatively low-security requirements of the occasion.
  4. If the user wants to increase the number of remote controllers, the new remote controller will be set to the same code as the old remote controller. The new remote controller and the old remote controller can work at the receiver at the same time.
  5. If the remote control is lost, the user can set the receiver together with the new remote control to a separate code so that the remote control can no longer be controlled and the receiver can no longer be controlled.

learning code

  1. The learning code wireless remote control uses 1527/2240/101 and other coding chips, and the remote control does not need to be coded again when it is used.
  2. The encoding capacity of the learning code is 1 million, and the code repetition rate is low.
  3. It is mainly applied to occasions with higher safety requirements.
  4. If users want to increase the remote control, they only need to use the receiver to learn and store the code of the new remote controller, so the new remote controller and the old remote controller can work at the receiver at the same time. Usually, the receiver can store more than a dozen different codes.
  5. If the remote controller is lost, the user can use the receiver to delete the code of the old remote controller, then learn and store the code of the new remote controller, so that the lost remote controller can no longer control the receiver.

Four-button wireless remote control transmitter (IC PT2262 / SC2262)

There are two types of wireless remote transmitters: electromagnetic waves and infrared. The working distance of the infrared remote transmitter is short, and the infrared ray can only be transmitted through the straight line, and can’t bypass the barrier. RF remote transmitter uses the RF signal, it is transmitted in all directions, and the signal can cross a certain barrier. The electromagnetic wave wireless remote control system uses the transmitter to transmit the electromagnetic wave, and the receiver extracts the electromagnetic wave and triggers various devices. The electromagnetic wave wireless remote control system commonly used in burglar alarm equipment, industrial equipment, doors and windows remote control, car remote control.

The following describes a commonly used four-button wireless remote control transmitter, the parameters are as follows:

Remote control/transmitter consist of buttons, coding circuit, a modulation circuit, signal amplifier and antenna. The principle of working transmitter: It first generates a specific wireless signal by the key, then the signal pass through the coding circuit, modulation circuit, signal amplifier circuit. Finally, radio waves are emitted through the antenna.

Four-button wireless remote control transmitter usually uses PT2262 or SC2262 encoding chip.The PT2262 or SC2262 is a low-power encoding chip fabricated in CMOS technology. The PT2262 or SC2262 has up to 12-bit (A0- A11) address-side pins. These pins can be left floating, connect the high level or connect the low level.They can combine up to 531441 sets of codes. The PT2262 or SC2262 has up to six (D0-D5) data-side pins that allow them to combine different data.A complete code consists of address code, data code and synchronization code,this code from pin 17 of PT2262 or SC2262 chip to the data input of the remote control terminal.After the receiving module receives the wireless signal, the decoder chip will compare and verify the signal, and the corresponding data pin of the decoder chip outputs the high-level signal to the amplifying circuit.

Wireless remote control electric rolling gate

In daily life, the electric rolling gate is suitable for family, shop, garage, market, hospital, warehouse and company. The control of electric rolling gate is divided into wired control and wireless control.

 Wired control systems include rolling door, motor, and manual switch. The user needs to go to the edge of the rolling gate before using the manual switch to open/close the rolling door. If you want to open the door when you are in the car, you have to get off and press the manual switch. In winter it is very inconvenient.

The wireless control system includes rolling door, motor, remote controls and a wireless receiver connected to the motor. The user can use the remote control to turn on/off the rolling door at a reasonable distance. When the user presses the remote control button, the remote will send an RF wireless signal. This RF wireless signal can pass through trees, walls or doors and windows. After the wireless receiver receives this RF wireless signal that will control the motor to turn the rolling door on/off. When you arrive at home, you don’t have to get out of your car as it travels near the roller shutter door. Only need to remote control directly into the car to turn it on/off. Especially in the cold winter, the wireless control system is very necessary and convenient.

The rolling door is divided into two types according to its motor: the chain motor rolling gate and the tubular motor rolling gate, which rotate the rotating shaft of the rolling gate through the motor. The chain motor is usually installed outside the shaft, as shown in figure 1. The chain motor rotates the rotary shaft and the rolling gate through gears and chains. The chain motor is suitable for heavier and larger rolling gates. Tubular motors are usually installed inside the rotary shaft, as shown in figure 2. The tubular motor directly rotates the rotary shaft and the gate. The tubular motor is suitable for the smaller and lighter rolling gate. When the rolling gate is opened or closed to the appropriate position, the motor can be automatically closed by the limit switch.

The chain motor rolling gate and tubular motor rolling gate use different wireless control kits.

The chain motor gate is suitable for wireless control kit model 002071, as shown in figure 3, this receiver is suitable for the maximum power 1000W motor. The receiver’s terminal has 6 wires, 2 black lines are connected to 220V AC power supply, the white line is opening door line, the yellow line is closing door line, the red line is the output line, and the green line is input line. The remote control has four buttons: up, down, stop and lock. When the remote control is locked, the other three buttons will not work, in order to avoid misoperation.

The tubular motor gate is suitable for wireless control model 0020709 (S1FG-AC220 & 2XB-4L), shown in figure 5. This receiver is suitable for the maximum power 400W motor. The receiver’s terminal has 4 connecting lines, the black line is the opening door line, the brown line is the closing door line, the blue line is the public line, and the yellow-green line is the ground line. There are also three manual buttons on the receiver. The remote control has four buttons: up, down, stop and lock, which control opening, closing, stopping and locking respectively. When the remote control is locked, the other three buttons will be shut down, to avoid misoperation.

Automatic Water Level Wireless Remote Control System

In industry, agriculture and daily life, water for the processing of beverages and foodstuffs, water for chemical production and domestic water supply, etc. People usually use pumps and tanks to form a pumping system. Earlier, people used manual control systems to control the water level in pumps and tanks. Later people used water level sensors and wired controls to automatically control the water level in pumps and tanks. For example, when the water level in the tank is too low, the pump is automatically activated to pump water to raise the water level; or, when starting the motor pumping water, the water pump is automatically shut down once the water level in the tank reaches the proper level. Now we can use more innovative wireless control technology to achieve wireless automatic control of water levels in pumps and tanks. The wireless control system is usually suitable for pump far away from the water tank occasions.

One of our clients told us his trouble. He wanted to control a reasonable pumping level. But the pump was about 100M away from the water tank. He didn’t want to connect a control line from the water tank to the water pump. He found it inconvenient so that he doesn’t consider the traditional wired control solution. He asked us to provide a solution for the radio frequency wireless control system. So we customized a wireless water level automatic control system, the model is 0020525. The system includes a wireless receiver (model S1PU-AC-ANT3, a transmitter (model CB-2), a dry contact transmitter (model CB-2N-2), and two wired water level sensors. The dry contact transmitter CB-2N-2 has three input lines which used to connect two water level sensors. The Receiver Wireless S1PU-AC-ANT3 can be used at 110V, 120V, 220V, 240V and has a relay output for connection to the pump. The receiver has a waterproof case and an external telescopic antenna that can be installed in outdoors. Two wired water level sensors are normally open/dry contact, and they are installed in the water tank. One is installed at a high water level (with the sensor facing up) and the other one is installed at a low water level (with the sensor facing down). This system uses a water level sensor to detect changes in water level and a water level sensor triggers the transmitter to automatically transmit a wireless signal. The receiver receives the signal and automatically turns the pump on or off. This system uses the water level sensor to detect the water level range. The water level sensor triggers the transmitter to automatically transmit the wireless signal according to the set value, and the receiver decoding signal automatically instructs the water pump to turn on or off.

The working principle of the transmitter (model CB-2N-2):

When the transmitter’s input lines 1 and 3 are connected, it automatically transmits a “NO” wireless signal, which is equivalent to the function of the button “ON” on the transmitter.

When the transmitter’s input lines 2 and 3 are connected, it automatically transmits an “OFF” wireless signal, which is equivalent to the function of the button “OFF” on the transmitter.

The working principle of the receiver (model S1PU-AC220-ANT3):

When the receiver receives a “NO” or “OFF” wireless signal, it can actuate its relay to turn the connected pump on or off.

The working principle of Wire water level sensor:

The water level sensor has two lines, they are normally open. When the sensor is triggered, these two lines will be connected to power.

The working principle of the water level automatic wireless control system:

When the water level in the water tank is lower than the position of the water level sensor 1, two lines of the water level sensor 1 are connected to trigger the transmitter CB-2N-2 to send the RF wireless signal “ON”. When the receiver S1PU-AC-ANT3 receives this signal, it triggers the relay to turn on the pump, which starts pumping water into the tank.

When the water level in the water tank rises to the position of the water level sensor 2, the two wires of the water level sensor 2 are connected to trigger the transmitter CB-2N-2 to send the RF wireless signal “OFF”. When the receiver S1PU-AC-ANT3 receives this signal, it triggers the relay to turn off the pump.

You can also turn the pump on or off at any time by pressing the two buttons on the transmitter / remote CB-2.

When the pump is far away from the tank, we can use this automatic water level control if it is inconvenient to use a wired control series to control the pump. The sensors are wirelessly connected to the receiver, and RF signals can pass through walls, trees, and other obstacles. We no longer need to connect a wired control cable from the tank to the pump. This type of RF wireless control system consists of a normally open contact transmitter and receiver. The transmitter can be connected to a variety of normally open / normally closed output devices, such as the alarm host, cable detectors, sensors, limit switches, PLC programmable logic controller. The receiver can be connected to a variety of DC / AC equipment, such as alarm speakers, lights, motors, motors, electric doors and so on. This set of normally open contactless wireless remote control device mainly uses a device with normally open / normally closed output to wirelessly control another AC or DC device. It can be used in many applications such as water level control in tanks, automatic remote control of industrial equipment and simultaneous remote control of agricultural equipment.
