Lamps Control Automation by Motion Detectors

Motion sensors are often used in indoor spaces to control electric lighting. If no motion is detected, it is assumed that the space is empty and no people activities, and thus does not need to be lit. We will try to make motion detector 2 led lamps with 2 infrared movement detector (W-01) and RF receiver with time delay function (S2DA-DC12). The working distance of motion detector is 100m (open field). The detection distance is 10m. The RF receiver is an adjustable time delay receiver. This delay time is user-selectable. Delay time can be adjusted as you like within 0 second~99 hours. Then lamps turning off automatically after delay time in such circumstances can save substantial amounts of energy.

Note: Don’t install 2 infrared motion detectors within a small space because of generation of interference.

Let’s see the following material. We have 2 motion detectors, receiver, 2 led lamps, dc12V power supply.

The wiring and operation pictures are as follows:

Wire 2 lamps to the rf receiver.

Set delay time: 5 seconds for each relay and switch on the power.

setting delay time

Hand moves around the first motion detector, blue lamp turns on automatically.

S2DA-DC&W-01 blue lamp on

When there is no motion, blue lamp will be off by itself after 5 seconds.

Hand moves around the second motion detector, red lamp turns on automatically.
